Hi All,

My group and I have faced some difficulties while using Labview and Arduino interface with VISA. Attached is the block diagram that we have set up in the Labview.

However, the following error shows up when we run:

"Error- 1073807339 occurred at VISA Read in wireless filter current vi.

Possible reasons(s): VISA: (Hex 0xBFFFF0015) Timeout expired before operation completed."

Does anyone have any idea what does this error means? And how to solve this error?

Also, attached is the code that we have put in Arduino. What does the delay (10) in the code means? How does it affect my Labview when it runs?

We hope to get some enlightenment. Thank you.

The issue you are seeing is related to the fact you are opening and closing the serial port on every iteration of the while loop. You may want to refer to the LabVIEW shipping examples and the LabVIEW forums on best practices around VISA programming.

Cheers
Filipe

Joy2793,

I believe you are posting to the wrong forum.  This forum is for the Arduino Compatible Compiler for LabVIEW, not the LabVIEW Interface for Arduino.

I want to know that if the Arduino is compatible with the LabView?

If it is compatible then which interface it uses with the LabView? Also is there any need for the special library in the LabView for Arduino? If yes then from where i can get this library?

Also i want that is it require any other hardware for their interfacing?
